   “This acrylic painting was based on amazing photographs I acquired of Sandhill Cranes with newly-hatched chicks, early one spring. I worked and reworked the fine details to achieve realistic detail, with a watercolor effect in the background. Some build up with textured molding-paste was done in the foreground; adding a bit of a 3-D effect.    -Peter R. Gerbert
