This is a camping list that I've put together over the years, in between many camping trips, after forgetting many things. Since I have put so much effort into it, and believe it that it is fairly thorough, I decided to post it here at Yahoo/Geocities for whoever might find it helpful. Please go over it closely, you may want to make some changes and improvisations to suit your personal needs.

Essentials

o Tents, Stakes, Canopy with Tie-Down Cords (a tarp that fits over the top of your tent in case of bad weather.)

o Sleeping Bags, Air (or Roll-Up) Mattresses (Foot Pump?), Blankets, Pillows.

o Axe. If you're not planning on chopping wood, you might still need something to drive the tent stakes in with.

o Lanterns, Extra Mantles, Fuel, Funnel, Matches.

o Flashlights, Batteries.

o Camera Equipment, Tripod, Extra Film, Extra Camera Battery.

o Telescope, Tripod, Batteries, Nightly Sky Maps.

o Bird Books, Field Guides, Binoculars. o Park Brochures, Trail Guides.

o Fly Swatter, Insect Repellent.

o First Aid Kit At least bring some headache pills, Band-Aids, antiseptic and bandages. Anyone with insect bite allergies should include some sting relief swabs.

o Medicines If any.

o Hunting Knife, Rope. o Pre-Split Firewood.

o Bottled Water, Canteen. o Backpack.

o Compass. o Candles.

Clothing

o How many days will you be camping? Regardless of what the weather is supposed to do, pack for warm and cold weather.

o Hats. o Ponchos.

o Jackets.

o Hiking Shoes, Good Socks.

o Personal Hygiene. o Sunglasses.

o Soap, Shampoo, Towels.

For Extra Comfort and Enjoyment

o Folding Chairs. o Folding Table.

o CD Player or iPod, Favorite Music, Batteries.

o Fan, Heater, Extension Cords. Most campgrounds offer electricity now. Call ahead to find out if electricity is available.

o Hammock. o Playing Cards. o Reading Materials.

Cooking

o Camping Stoves, Fuel or Propane, Lighter, Charcoal, Lighter Fluid.

o Coolers. o Ice.

o Here's where you should consider a grocery list. Consider what meals you'll be cooking and everything you'll need to finish the meal!

o Meats, Potatoes, Vegetables, Rice, Noodles, Butter, Cooking Oil.

o Bread, Eggs, Fruit, Emergency Canned Goods.

o Drinks. o Desserts, Snacks.

o Cooking Pans and Skillets.

o Can Opener, Spatula, Cooking Spoon, Pot-Holder.

o Silverware, Plates, Cups.

o Coffee Percolator, Coffee, Coffee Mugs.

o Condiments: Salt, Pepper, Favorite Spices, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Sugar, Creamers, Honey, Etc.

o Paper Towels. o Dishwashing liquid, Sponge.
