Highlights
Recently,
my “Eminent Domain” Bald-Eagle painting, “Three Birds
and a Star” and “The Woven Embrace” all sold to different,
private collectors.
“Three
Birds and a Star” and “In Mom We Trust” were both
contest winners in the Florida Wildlife Magazine’s 2009 Wildlife
Art Contest; featured in the current issue. (Note: the magazine is not
affiliated with the Florida Wildlife Federation.)
If
you’re in the Polk County vicinity; there’s a well-written
article about me in the latest issue of Polk County’s “Today
& Tonight” Magazine. If you can’t pick one up: you can
read the story
online: Page 30.

At
Work in My New Art Studio
“Dreams
do come true.
Words
can’t describe how wonderful it is to have an art studio with
so much elbow-room, after working in a crowded old home for many years.
My
sliding-glass doors (that I face when I work: pictured here) have
opened up a view into the woods behind my home, like I never could
have imagined. With the help of several bird-feeders and some native-plants
that attract wildlife, there is almost a continuous display of birds,
butterflies and wild animals.
Work
on the building has been coming along nicely. Earlier in the year
I had central heat & air installed; recently, I was able to get
‘icynene’ insulation (it’s like a spray-foam and
the R-Value is off the charts.) I’m hoping to sell one of the
paintings noted above, then I’ll be able to sheet-rock and do
the finish work! Not that I’m hinting that you should buy one,
or anything.
I
hope to have an ‘art studio open-house’ party a bit later
in the year. I’ll be sure to let you know!
Hope
that all is well with you. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I hear
my river calling me…” Peter
